BIO

Sean F. Byrnes currently serves as Committeeman of Middletown Township Committee. A graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, Sean has a strong background in service, with 22 years of service in the Coast Guard, retiring recently as a Commander.


Sean has a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and is currently a partner in the Red Bank, NJ firm Byrnes Kirkwood, LLP. His service back ground extends to his time on the Red Bank Board of Education, the Red Bank River Center, and as Chairman of the Board of the Red Bank Branch YMCA.


As your Freeholder, Sean will focus on transparency in government, environmental protection, consolidation of services, and efficient governance.


Sean currently resides in Middletown, NJ with his wife, Anne Clabby Byrnes, and their five children.
